My why No one needs to walk alone during big transitions. It is my goal to stand with you as your ally and help you to navigate the complexities of these big changes so that your journey through post retirement and elder care is as smooth and supported as possible. I want you to be able to dedicate your energies where it best serves you and your family, not on stress and confusion.
Rachel comes to Tea and Toast with a significant background in supporting vulnerable families as they navigate transitions in their lives. Rachel has provided direct support, performed public education, and lead programs that helped countless young families, new parents, and the children in our community at some of the most critical times of their lives.
After a head injury in 2016, Rachel was forced to make some significant changes to their work and pursued yoga, meditation, and mindfulness certifications and has become a facilitator of these programs. She is currently working on her yoga therapy and certification. Yoga and meditation had a meaningful impact on Rachel's recovery from her TBI and served to inspire a new way of looking at the ways that she can contribute to our community.
Bringing together a rich diversity of experience in the social services sector in our community and mindful practices that assist in attaining calm and focus with the incredible services offered by Tea and Toast means that Rachel can offer exceptional support to families during what can be a challenging and stressful time.
As the eldest child and grandchild in her family, Rachel has been involved with elder care for many years, she understands firsthand how difficult it can be to balance needs and budget, quality of life and sense of purpose, time and energy for all of the people involved. Rachel is here to help with compassion, knowledge, and patience.
