Kayla joined the Tea & Toast team in the late summer of 2022 after trying on many different hats during the COVID-19 pandemic. From going back to school, working part-time in retail, joining the property management industry, and then landing in environmental science, nothing felt quite as rewarding as it had when she worked in the seniors industry.
Graduating from the Fitness and Health Promotion program in 2017, Kayla taught fitness and movement education for Seniors Outreach Services. She spent each day working alongside her clients, navigating our aging bodies and how to promote independence for as long as possible. She always wanted to do more to support her clients and found that in Tea & Toast.
When Kayla isn’t on the receiving end of calls to Tea & Toast, you’ll find her walking her two dogs, Bogey and Holly, or curled up with a good book. Kayla loves exploring the outdoors, so much so that she is marrying her fiance, Mathew, in the mountains in Banff in March 2023.
